The pedestrian who was hit by a car in Peabody Sunday night has died, Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker's office announced Monday. Robert King, 61, of Peabody, died at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Tucker's office said in a statement. King was crossing the road on Summit Street near Christina Drive when they were hit by a car around 7:40 p.m. on Oct. 7. The driver's name has been withheld pending the completion of an investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, along with Peabody police, Tucker's office said.
